Trying To Think Something New by Lena Gätjens is the last exhibition from our 2020 open call: reconstruction of life

We are happy that it is a simultaneous screening with an ongoing event in Graz, AT at Forum Stadtpark Part as part of the exhibition “Für morgen ist eine Prognose nicht sinnvoll”.

Lena Gätjens studied Stage and Costume Design (Diploma) in Graz and Lisbon. 2013 she graduated in the mastercourse for Architectural Lighting Design at Hochschule Wismar.
Observing light and using it as an expressive and narrative tool, is a continuation of her involvement with the scenic space. She realized her masterthesis within the project Grandhotel Cosmopolis, where she researched about light in the context of a Social Sculpture. The potential of light to design space, perception and narrative scenes is being investigated about in Lena Gätjens‘ installations, works in public space and in architecture.

She is a part of 333 – a light art collective that creates Art-in-Public and in-Architecture projects with both daylight and artificial light.
